Our huts are sited on Quarry Farm in the tiny village of Bodiam. River Rother from Bodiam
The River Rother meanders quietly through the valley flanked on either side by open farmland. The unpolluted waters, which guests are free to fish, offers a perfect habitat for all sorts of flora, fauna and wildlife.
A short stroll accoss the fields and you reach our nearest local pub “The Castle Inn” serving Kentish Ales and great homemade food. Across the quiet road from the pub you will find Bodiam Castle, the top of which you can see from the woods. The castle is as every child draws, complete with Moat, turrets and battlements.
Running into the farm is the Kent and Sussex Steam Railway, which offers a wonderful trip through the valley to the nearby cinque Port town of Tenterden. At weekends an evening train runs a fansastic supper service starting from, and returning to, Tenterden.
A small ferry, ‘The Danny Lee’, runs down the river from the castle to the nearby village of Newenden, where you can dine in the village pub or hire a rowing boat and splash about on the river yourself!
